Vivo has released the X80 Pro, a smartphone launched by the company with X80 and S15E. While Vivo is expected to release three models in the X80 series, X80 Pro arrives as two variants instead. Specifically, the X80 Pro comes in Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Dimensity 9000 Flavours, both with RAM up to 12 GB and 512 GB of storage. Incidentally, Vivo also offers a regular X80 with a 9000 dimension, which we have discussed separately.
As expected, the X80 Pro has a 6.78 -inch AMOLED screen that is output at 1440p and has a backplane LTPO 3.0. Thus, the handset can adjust the screen refresh rate between 1-120 Hz to minimize power consumption. For references, the two chipset variants are sent with a 4,700 mAh battery that can be refilled by the X80 Pro at 50 W wirelessly or 80 W through a cable connection.
In addition, the IP68 certified device has a 32 MP camera facing forward, a 50 MP main camera built around the new Samsung Isocell GNV and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor which is 38.7% larger than the equivalent at the X70 Pro. According to Vivo, Isocell GNV has an optical format of 1/1.3 inches, aperture f/1.57 and optically stable (OIS). Not only the X80 Pro feature on GNV ISOCELL, but also has an ultra-wide 48 MP (IMX598) lens, a 12 MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom (IMX663) and 8 MP periscope camera (IMX598) which offers 5x Zoom Optics.
