India on Tuesday slammed China and Pakistan for their efforts to encourage a third country to join projects related to the corridor of their multi-miliar dollar connectivity that passed the Kashmir occupied by Pakistan.In a sharp reaction, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Arindam Bagchi said such activities under theChinese-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) “Inherent illegal, illegal and unacceptable”, and will be treated according to India.
New Delhi consistently criticized projects in what the CPEC project in India was illegally occupied by Pakistan. “At the CPEC Joint Working Group (JWG) meeting on international cooperation and coordination on Friday, Pakistan and China decided to welcome a third country who was interested in joining the mainstay CPEC initiative.”We have seen a report on encouraging proposed participation from the third country in what is called the CPEC project. Any action by any party violates Indian territorial sovereignty and integrity,” Bagchi said.
“India is firmly and consistently opposed projects in what is called CPEC, which is in Indian territory that has been occupied illegally by Pakistan,” he said.”Such activities are inherent illegal, invalid and unacceptable, and will be treated according to India,” he added.CPEC was launched in 2013 to improve road infrastructure, trains, and Pakistani energy transportation in addition to connecting the Dalam Sea Port with Xinjiang Province in China.CPEC is part of the Belt Initiative and Ambiral China (BRI).India is very critical of BRI because CPEC is part of this initiative.
