With the release of the iPhone X, Apple removes the ability to see the percentage of the remaining batteries from the status bar. According to a report by 9to5mac, Apple has added an option with the release of iOS Beta 5. It is part of the status bar before the iPhone maker decides to drop a barking blessing on the iPhone X which limits the amount available space available for status rod data. Over the years, users must swipe the control center if they want to check the percentage of batteries.
Some who updated to iOS 16 Beta 5 said the option was turned on by default for them. For those who have a developer beta, just open the ‘settings’ application, open the ‘battery’ section and switch the ‘battery percentage’ option and you are good to go. It is very interesting to note that this icon is slightly bigger than usual. If your cellphone is cut off from the charger, you will be able to see the percentage of the battery in it. When the device battery becomes low, the battery icon turns yellow but the percentage is still placed in the icon. However, when charging the device, you will see that the text moves next to the charging icon.
Unfortunately, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 13 mini users will not be able to activate the option because it is not available on this device for unknown reasons. Apart from the return of the battery percentage icon, iOS 16 Beta 5 also introduced several changes such as new sounds when pinging iPhone from Apple Watch, visualizers who now play on the lock screen and add the ‘copy and delete’ options when taking screenshots.
